Special Care is a personal support service agency. We provide in-home personal care assistants/attendants, personal care services, homemaker services and respite care to the elderly, sick and disabled. Special Care insists on the highest ethical standards in conducting business, doing the right thing and acting with integrity.

Our mission is to have “Special People caring for Special People” in their time of greatest need. Doing the right things and acting with integrity are what makes Special Care employees “Special People”. When faced with ethical issues, Special Care employees are expected to make the right professional decisions consistent with Special Care’s principles and standards.

The owner of the company, Mary Calloway-Norman, began the company in 2000 when she saw the need to help the sick and the elderly in Knoxville, TN. Mary’s mother (Ruth Cordelia McMahan Calloway-Sult) was the reason for this company. Mary realized that had it not been for family, her mother would have been in an assisted living home.
